What it brings in
- Daily spend, impressions, clicks and results per campaign.
- Ad sets, ads and their creatives.
- Leads and purchases counted as conversions.
Before you start
- Admin access to the Meta Business Manager (Business Settings) that owns your ad accounts.
- A Meta app of the Business type with the Marketing API product added. You create it at developers.facebook.com.
- A System User in Business Settings (Users > System Users) with the
ads_readandbusiness_managementpermissions, assigned to your ad accounts with at least “View performance”. Generate a token for it.
Steps
Add your Meta app details
- In 1Dashboard, open Integrations and click Connect on the Meta Ads card.
- Open the Meta App configuration section and fill in the App ID, App Secret, Business Manager ID and System User Token.
- Save, then click Test connection. It shows how many Business Managers it can reach.
Pick your ad accounts
- Click Connect account and select an ad account.
- Choose how much history to pull (30 days, 90 days, a year, or all time up to 37 months) and the sync cadence (hourly, every 4 hours or daily).
- Click Connect + start backfill. The first import runs in the background.
- Repeat for each ad account you want.
Have more than one workspace? Connect to other workspaces copies the same Meta setup into other workspaces where you are an owner or admin.
How often it syncs
- Spend and results refresh on the cadence you picked (hourly by default).
- Ad sets, ads and creatives refresh every 4 hours.
- To refresh one account now, click Sync next to it in the Meta Ads window.
Each card on the Integrations page shows when it last synced, and flags anything that needs you.
Common problems
The Meta System User token stopped working
In Meta Business Settings, generate a new System User token with ads_read, then paste it into the Meta App configuration in 1Dashboard.
“No accessible accounts”
The System User has no ad accounts yet. In Business Manager, assign the System User to at least one ad account, then try again.
Meta Ads refused access
The System User lost access to the ad account. It needs at least “View performance” on that account.
Meta Ads is limiting requests
Meta is rate limiting for a moment. We retry automatically and the data catches up. Nothing to do.
Disconnect
- To stop one ad account: open the Meta Ads window, click Disconnect next to it and confirm. Its synced campaigns and metrics are deleted from 1Dashboard. Your Meta ad account is not touched.
- To stop Meta entirely: click Disconnect on the Meta Ads card. Syncing stops and the saved token is removed. Spend already synced stays in 1Dashboard.
