What it brings in
- Daily spend, impressions, clicks, conversions and impression share per campaign.
- Conversions split by action, such as form fills and calls.
- Ad groups, keywords (with quality score) and search terms.
- Performance by device and by region.
- Clicks with their Google click ID (GCLID), so leads that carry one can be matched to the campaign, ad group and keyword (last 90 days).
Before you start
- A Google account that can open the Google Ads accounts you want. Manager (MCC) accounts work too.
Steps
Sign in with Google
- In 1Dashboard, open Integrations and click Connect on the Google Ads card.
- Sign in with Google and allow access to Google Ads. If Google says the app isn’t verified yet, choose Advanced, then continue to 1Dashboard.
- You come back to Integrations with the message Google connected.
Pick your accounts
- On the Google Ads card, click Manage ads, then Connect Ads account.
- Pick the ad account. If you choose a manager account, pick the sub-account under it.
- Review the data that will be pulled, then click Next.
- Choose how far back to pull: 30 days, 90 days, 365 days or all time (up to 5 years). Longer windows take longer, but you can use Analytics while it runs.
- Choose the refresh cadence: hourly (recommended), every 4 hours, or daily at 06:00 UTC. Then click Connect + start backfill.
- Repeat for each ad account you want. Each one is listed in Manage ads.
The API access section at the top of Manage ads is optional. It is only for teams that want to use their own Google Cloud credentials. You can leave it as it is.
How often it syncs
- Spend, clicks and conversions refresh on the cadence you picked (hourly by default).
- Ad groups, keywords, search terms, device and region data refresh every 4 hours.
- To refresh one account now, open Manage ads and click Sync now next to it.
Each card on the Integrations page shows when it last synced, and flags anything that needs you.
Common problems
Google sign-in expired
Google stopped accepting the saved sign-in (it expired, the password changed or access was removed). Click Reconnect Google on the card or in Manage ads and sign in with the same Google account. Your accounts and history stay.
“Google did not grant Ads access”
The Google Ads permission was left unticked when you signed in. Reconnect Google and allow access to Google Ads.
“No Ads accounts found”
The Google account you signed in with can’t open any Google Ads account. Ask an admin of the ad account to add that Google user, or reconnect with a different Google account.
Google Ads refused access
The connected Google user no longer has access to that ad account. Ask an admin of the account to grant access again, or reconnect with a user that has it.
Google Ads is limiting requests
Google is rate limiting for a moment. We retry automatically and the data catches up. Nothing to do.
Disconnect
- To stop one ad account: open Manage ads, click Disconnect next to it and confirm. Its synced campaigns and metrics are deleted from 1Dashboard. Your Google Ads account itself is not touched.
- To stop Google Ads entirely: click Disconnect on the Google Ads card. Campaign and spend sync stops. You can reconnect at any time.
